Manage Templates
An email template is a pre-designed and pre-formatted structure for composing and sending emails. These templates streamline the email creation process by providing a consistent layout and design, ensuring brand consistency, and saving time for the sender. They can be reused for standard communication.
Navigate to Template: Click on "Cadence -> Template" in the navbar for easy access.
Search Template: Begin typing the template name, and relevant search results will appear as you type, allowing for easy and efficient template selection.
Create Template: There are three ways to create a template.
1. Rich Text Editor: Utilize the rich text editor for enhanced formatting and styling options by providing all the following essential information.
- Template Name: Input the template name.
- Template Subject: Write the subject of your email. You can use mapwords like FirstName, LastName, CompanyName, or Title.
- Template Content: Draft your email content using editor or DraftSuggest, AI tools for email generation. Utilize mapwords, insert links, or add images. Explore the available options on the editor.
2. Drop & Drag Editor: The drag-and-drop editor simplifies template creation with pre-built components like text blocks, images, tables, and buttons. Users can effortlessly customize designs by dragging and dropping these elements onto the canvas, ensuring professional-looking content without intricate design skills. Providing the following information.
- Template Name: Input the template name.
- Template Subject: Write the subject of your email. You can use mapwords like FirstName, LastName, CompanyName, or Title.
- Template Content: Craft your email content effortlessly using the drag-and-drop editor. Explore the diverse options provided by the editor for a dynamic and visually appealing template.
3. Import Template Zip: Importing a ZIP file for templates streamlines the process by allowing users to upload pre-designed email structures, saving time and ensuring consistency in email layouts. Importing a ZIP file for templates involves compressing HTML, CSS, and image files into a folder. Ensure the file is valid, well-formatted, and within the specified size limit for seamless uploading.
- Ensure your zip file meets the following criteria:
- Include one .html file.
- Images should be in web-safe formats (png, gif, or jpg).
- Include your CSS file(s).
- Include '#' in the link src to view the email online.
- Ensure your HTML is well-formatted.
- The zip file size should be less than 1MB.
Test Email: Use this button to send a test email to verify its appearance and functionality before sending it to recipients. You can test the email using your account ID or add another recipient's ID for testing.
Discard: Choose to discard the draft.
Save: Save your email to preserve changes.
