DMARC Setup on CloudFlare

Just like SPF and DKIM, DMARC is a simple one-line entry in your DNS records (e.g., Namecheap, Cloudflare, Bluehost, etc.).

Before setting it, make sure you’ve configured SPF and DKIM records for the required domain.

Your domain must be using CloudFlare nameservers to add an SPF record in your CloudFlare account.

Step 1: Log In to CloudFlare

Navigate to cloudflare.com, enter your credentials to login to its dashboard.

Step 2: Locate your domain

In CloudFlare's dashboard, find your domain you want to add the SPF record to, then click the DNS button, like this:

Step 3: Enter DMARC Record

Now you are on the DNS Management page, click the Add button in the Records section. Now you will see a form where you can enter the settings for your SPF record, as shown below:

  • Choose a Type as TXT record.
  • Add the Name (for example, _dmarc).
  • Keep TTL set to auto
  • Add the value.

Add DMARC

  • Click on the Save button. Normally, it takes 30 minutes for newly created host records to take effect.
