DMARC Setup on Namecheap

Just like SPF and DKIM, DMARC is a simple one-line entry in your DNS records (e.g., Namecheap, Cloudflare, Bluehost, etc.).

Before setting it, make sure you’ve configured SPF and DKIM records for the required domain.

If your domain is pointed to Namecheap's BasicDNS, PremiumDNS or FreeDNS, follow the instructions below to add a DMARC record:

Step 1: Go to Manage Domain

  • Having logged into the Namecheap account, choose Domain List on the left and click on the Manage button next to your domain:

Manage DNS

Step 2: Navigate to Advanced DNS

  • Navigate to the Advanced DNS tab from the top menu and click on the Add new record button:

Advanced DNS

Step 3: Enter DMARC Record

  • Choose a Type as TXT Record.
  • Add the Host (for example, _dmarc).
  • Add the value.

Add New Record

  • Click on the Save icon. Normally, it takes 30 minutes for newly created host records to take effect.
